Attributed to Thomas Hewlett, Long Island, New York
Bodies are of cork with small inset glass eyes and inserted original hardwood bills. Retails worn original paint with some wear to the cork. Possibly rigmates to the sandpipers auctioned from the collection of Dr. James McCleery, Sotheby’s, January 22-3, 2000, page 105.
